Named after the Mayan Goddess of the Moon, Ixchel is a 170 cover modern Mexican restaurant and tequila bar situated on the famous Kings Road, Chelsea.
At the heart of our food is Mexican chef Ximena Gayosso Gonzalez. Discovering at a young age that food was her way of expressing her creativity, she began her journey of discovery with cooking in both Mexico City and London. Based on the way Mexicans love to eat food, Ximena and her team have developed a menu reflective of a sharing concept that not only tastes incredible but also looks beautiful too.
Sourcing the best quality ingredients that is truly reflective of the essence of Ximena’s food is paramount to ensuring an unrivalled dining experience at Ixchel. Passion lies behind all that is created in our kitchen and provides the starting point for our menus.
We have given our Mexican dining experience its own unique twist and at the heart of this concept lies the robata grill. With huge emphasis on quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers wherever possible, Ixchel will offer a full sensory experience from the second you meet the doors to our Mayan Goddess and our beautiful interiors, to the unique and delicious culinary and drinks offering that our team creates.

The focus on our cocktails is flavour. No stone has been left unturned when it has come to our Mexican Beverage Manager, Manuel Lema and the careful development of our drinks menu. As well as offering the best in house classics, Manuel and his team have also developed bespoke cocktails to Ixchel, encompassing our ethos that every experience should be an amazing one, no matter what you are drinking.
A carefully curated wine list focusing on both New World and European wines complements the bold flavours of our food. We have also designed a very special and unique after dinner cocktail menu that will no doubt become one of the talking points of Ixchel.
